The owners are early risers who wanted to wake up in the light. The bedroom faces east over the lake, so it was limewashed a warm white, given sheer linen curtains that glow rather than block, and a low oak bed placed exactly where the sun lands at half past six in June.
The bathroom got a freestanding tub under its own east window and a pale stone floor. The dressing room is oak wardrobes and a wool bench, lit by the same hour.
